Lynne Phipps is an interior architect and green building advocate with a holistic, integrated approach to green design that includes environmental sustainability, re-use and a focus on the psychological effect of the built environment. Trained in interior architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design, Lynne holds BFA and BIA degrees from that institution. She is a principal in Design One Consortium, Providence, RI, (www.designoneconsortium.com) associate professor of interior design at Mount Ida College, Newton, MA, a member of the board of directors of the Rhode Island chapter of the USGBC, and the first recipient of the Contract Magazine Inspiration Award.
